In mid-October, I received an e-mail from a harpist in Belgium that was a special global meditation with harps. Approximately 20 harpists from 10 countries around the world (Belgium, France, Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Hong Kong and the United States)  would participate in this long-distance meditation. It started on October 11th and we played daily for one week. This unique meditation was a way to feel connected to each other through the music of our harps, even if we didn’t know each other and were geographically far apart. There were no “rules” to participate but the leader gave a few suggestions:

  • Choose a moment when you feel present.
  • Create a beautiful environment for yourself, such as candlelight, incense, sacred space, etc.
  • Relax via stretching, breathing deeply, drinking water, etc.
  • Take a moment of silence to go inward.
  • Call out the first names of the other harpists who are participating in this meditation.
  • Recite a poem or sacred writing.
  • Formulate aloud your personal intention (towards one or more person(s), a situation, a theme for the world, etc.)
  • Play the harp music that is provided each day. Play it for 10 minutes.
  • Finish with one minute of silence to let in the vibrations and ripple the vibrations out.

It was lovely to participate in this way. The second meditation was January 10-17. Looking forward to the next one in springtime to participate in the next wave of positive vibrations of peace going out to the planet …
